Mr. Simple(comeback single of Super Junior)
Even in Japan, Super Junior holds the crown for “King of Album Sales”
On August 8th, Super Junior’s 5th album “Mr. Simple” was released on Japan’s largest music portal, Tower Records. The album has been generating much interest since July and topped the Tower Records online chart in addition to topping the physical album sales chart for the Tower Records stores.
“Mr. Simple” was released in Korea on August 3rd and quickly made an impact by ranking first on Korea’s top music portal, Hanteo with the album selling 79,152 units in it’s first week. Starting with Japan, Super Junior will release the album in a total of 11 Asian countries.
Super Junior’s comeback has created a huge ripple effect across the K-Pop industry, as they’ve been sweeping distinctions right and left for their new track, “Mr. Simple“.
